The SIRA Allied Health Practitioner Introductory Training Program – Learning and Assessment is a 3 part course which focuses on the role and expectations of allied health practitioners planning to work in the NSW Workers Compensation Scheme or the NSW Compulsory Third Party (CTP) Scheme. The completion of this program is a mandatory requirement prior to obtaining your approval number for treating people with a claim in the NSW Workers Compensation Scheme. Before delivering services in the NSW Workers Compensation Scheme, all Physiotherapists, Accredited Exercise Physiologists, Chiropractors, Osteopaths, Psychologists and Counsellors must: first complete the SIRA Allied Health Practitioner Introductory Training Program – Learning and Assessment and pass all assessments. In the event you don’t pass all three assessments please contact the Help Desk Support Team (details below) then complete your application form and follow the steps on the SIRA allied health practitioner approval for workers compensation website. Once you have successfully completed your learning and passed all assessments, your learning will be marked off as completed in the SIRA Allied Health Practitioner Learning Portal. You can download a Certificate of Completion from the SIRA Allied Health Practitioner Learning Portal. This certificate will be used as evidence to support your application process with SIRA. The SIRA Allied Health Practitioner Introductory Training Program – Learning Only course provides an introduction to the NSW personal injury schemes and the role and expectations of allied health practitioners in supporting people recovering from injuries incurred in a motor vehicle crash or workplace incident. This course is suitable for: Allied health practitioners who intend to provide services in the NSW Compulsory Third Party (CTP) Scheme only. Allied health practitioners seeking a refresher on key principles and practices when working with people injured in a motor vehicle crash or workplace incident. This course does not include assessments. Once you have completed the learning content, you will be marked as completed in the SIRA Allied Health Practitioner Learning Portal and will be able to download a Certificate of Completion. Important note If you intend to deliver treatment services in the NSW Workers Compensation Scheme, please enrol in the SIRA Allied Health Practitioner Introductory Training Program – Learning and Assessment course instead.
